Mrs. DORIS MARIE OVERTON HOYLER

FORT WORTH -- Doris Overton Hoyler went to be with the Lord surrounded by family Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Ridglea Presbyterian Church. Visitation: with family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper Funeral Home. Doris was a loving wife, mother and friend to all. She was a member of The Women's Club of Fort Worth -- Aquarius, Johnnies' Book Club and the Ladies First Friday Group. She graduated from Polytechnic High School and Texas State College for Women. She participated in numerous Cowtown and Susan G. Komen 5K and 10K races. Doris loved to dance, wear high-heeled shoes and was never fully dressed unless she was wearing earrings. Doris worked with her husband in the family painting and contracting business. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, William David Overton and Georgia Mae Overton; stepmother, Aubrey Wilson Overton; and sister, Dorothy Louise Sims. Survivors: Her husband of 63 years, Harold; son, David Hoyler and wife, Donna; son, Tommy Hoyler and wife, Mara; daughter, Pam Buschmann and husband, Mike; daughter, Cindy Hoyler and partner, Tanya Voss. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Howard and Wilma McComas with her husband, Don.
