Mr. JAMES VERNON SMITH

FORT WORTH -- James Vernon Smith passed away Wednesday morning, Dec. 7, 2017. Mr. Smith was 76. CELEBRATION of LIFE: A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. with a Celebration of Life following from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of choice, in his memory, is suggested. Born April 30, 1941 in Nebraska, Jim was the son of Vernon and Burnice Irene Dinnel Smith. After growing up in Wyoming, he served in the U.S. Army and became an electrical engineer. SURVIVORS: In addition to his sons and their wives, Chance and Rayne and Branden and Liza and their mother, Carol, Jim was grandfather to Brieana, Skyler, Caden, Kiersten and Gavin; and was brother of Gloria.
