Service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at The Hills Church, 6300 N.E. Loop 820, North Richland Hills. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Lee, in Greenwood Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Born March 20, 1933 in Wiggins, Miss., Carolyn was the daughter of Carroll and Eunice Colville. She grew up in Pascagoula, Miss. and after graduating Salutatorian from her high school, she studied nursing at Tulane University in New Orleans. Carolyn met Lee Goodman Jr. at the Dairy Queen. He was stationed at Kessler AFB and their whirlwind romance led her to follow “her Lee,” the love of her life, to Texas. They were married for 62 years before Lee’s death in 2014. She worked, while Lee finished college at ACC and then devoted her life to their 3 children and community service organizations. Carolyn was the National PTA president for many years and later devoted her time to the Associated Women for Christian education. She taught bible class for over 40 years and her strong faith led her to selflessly serve others throughout her life. She was well known for her "Card Ministry" which blessed a number of people. Carolyn and Lee were active members at The Hills Church of Christ for 35 years and the Meadowbrook Church of Christ for 25 years before that. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brother, James C. “Jim” Colville. Survivors: In addition to her children, Gary Goodman, Greg Goodman and his wife, Beverly, and Gay Goodman Walters and her husband Kevin, Carolyn was grandmother to Amanda Gatlin and her husband, Garrett, Trevor Goodman and his wife, Rachel, Ian Goodman and his wife, Sarah, Kevin Beevers and his wife, Livia, Kaden Walters and his wife, Codi, Karaline Walters, Claire Goodman, Kallan Walters and Grant Goodman; her great-grandchildren, Liam Gatlin, Lila Goodman, Luke Goodman, Lila Gatlin, Anderson Lee Goodman, Rhydian Goodman, Olive Beevers; and her sister-in-law, Sarah.
