Arlington, Texas – Teddy Jo “Jodi” Parks Flow went home to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon August 7. Ms. Flow was 73. A service celebrating her life will be held at 10 am Friday, August 27, at Eagle Mountain International Church, 14355 Morris Dido Road, Newark. Born on March 3, 1948 in Austin, Jodi was the daughter of Ted J. and Virginia Walker Parks. Passionate about many things, she was a Kindergarten teacher for many years, having attended the University of Texas at Austin and earning a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. Jodi was honored to be involved in many diverse activities. She served as Precinct Chair and Elections Judge in Tarrant County, advocated for many political candidates in her community, volunteered for the Texas Rangers Women’s Club at Rangers home games, worked in the ticket office at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. She supported the U. S. Military and the country of Israel where her Lord and Savior walked and attended events for Christians United for Israel. Jodi was a Christian woman who loved the Lord and lived her life for the day she would go to heaven. As a member of Eagle Mountain International Church, she was a prayer leader, volunteered during services and served wherever she was needed. Jodi loved seeing the Texas bluebonnets in the Spring and travelling across Texas and the United States with her daughters. She had a very generous heart and gave to a number of ministries and charities. Jodi blessed the lives of many people, including family, friends and strangers. She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Hubbard and Romee S. Walker Sr. of Austin; paternal grandparents, Irene and Claude Parks of Iowa City, Iowa; and former husband, Dr. Bryan L. Flow of Arlington. In addition to her daughters, Sherry Flow of Fort Worth and Terri Flow of Arlington, Virginia, Jodi is survived by her brother and his wife, Terry and Janet Parks of Austin; her niece, Elizabeth Parks and nephew, Christopher Parks, both of Austin; and her beloved little dog, Chevy.
