AMY ANN HANSON

Amy Ann Hanson, 64, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, surrounded by her family and pet companions.

Born in Fort Worth, to Mary Ann Hanson and Loren Q. Hanson, Amy discovered her lifelong passion early. Whether rescuing stray kittens as a child, or fostering dozens over the decades, cats were never just pets to her—they were family. She often joked that her house had “more whiskers than walls,” and visitors were greeted by a chorus of purrs.

She graduated from R. L. Paschal High School in 1980, then went on to earn a degree in interior design. She was a member of ASID, American Society of Interior Designers.

A retired interior designer, Amy spent 30 years transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary homes with vision, warmth, and an impeccable eye for detail. Amy inherited her love of beauty from her mother. She graduated from Texas Christian University and spent more than three decades building a distinguished career as a designer. Her business, Infinity Interiors, was celebrated for blending classic elegance with modern comfort. Amy had a rare gift of creating spaces that felt both stunning and deeply personal.

Amy is survived by her husband of many years, Will Lawson, her brother, Peder C. Hanson, and a circle of dear friends, who were treated like family. She is also survived by numerous beloved cats and dogs.

Over her lifetime, Amy traveled extensively, visiting 5 of the 7 continents. She was a member of Chapter AP, P.E.O., making her a third-generation legacy, following her mother and grandmother, along with being a 9th-generation Texan.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert F. Hanson, her parents, Mary Ann Hanson, and Loren Q. Hanson, and countless beloved cats who crossed the Rainbow Bridge before her.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 2pm Friday, July 17, in the Leonard Memorial Chapel at First United Methodist Church, 800 W. Fifth Street, with a reception to follow in Wesley Hall.
