BRUCE RABIN

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Bruce Edward Rabin passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, Sept. 26, 2012, just prior to his 59th year. Service: 11 a.m. Sunday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, with Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker of Congregation Beth Israel, Colleyville, officiating. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the Humane Society of North Texas, in his memory, is suggested. Born Oct. 19, 1953, in Chicago, Ill., Bruce was the beloved son of Irving and Freda Rabin. He loved to fly, was an aircraft mechanic for American Airlines, a flight instructor, private pilot and explorer. Bruce was a man of great integrity, passion and curiosity. He loved his family, aviation, science and technology, and animals. He was courageous, sentimental, and had a disdain for injustice. His sense of adventure was strong, he had a great sense of humor, and he loved deep and uncontrollable laughter. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Janet, Bruce is survived by his son, Trevor; sister, Lin Rabin; and brother, Ron Rabin and his wife, Nancy, and their children, Aaron and Elana.
