DARRAGH STRIPLING

FORT WORTH -- Darragh Costain Stripling, daughter of Wesley Capers Stripling IV and Gerri Massy-Bevan Stripling, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, 2012, during her 22nd year. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, 800 W. Fifth St., with the Rev. Dr. William M. Longsworth officiating. Honorary pallbearers: Conrad Beyer, Matt Beyer, Patrick Cox, Geoff Cross, Raleigh Hallum, Bowie Holland, Clayton Holland, Walker Holland and Louis Sheppard. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the Union Gospel Mission in Fort Worth or any other worthy cause, in her memory, is suggested. On June 29, 1990, the most beautiful thing happened. Darragh came into the world and lighted our lives with inexpressible joy. With the sweetest countenance and the most infectious smile and laugh, she was loved and adored by everyone who knew her. An artist, a writer, photographer, prolific reader and possessed of a wonderful imagination and an angelic voice, she was all things good about this world. Darragh was an avid outdoorsman who traveled much of the world and these United States. She loved people as they loved her, and was equally comfortable as a debutante or just hanging out around the campfire. Always there for family and friends in need with just the right encouraging word. She graduated early from Peaster High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington, Tarrant County College and the University of Utah. In a twinkling of an eye, she was gone. We are profoundly grateful for the 22 years in which she enriched our lives with daily blessings. Survivors: In addition to her loving mother and father, Gerri and Wesley, Darragh is survived by her brother, Cape; grandparents, John and Norma Bevan, Carmen Palmer and Anabel Stripling; aunts, Jackie Suechting, Colleen Nargussi, Katherine Hensley, Mary Alice Palmer, Dana Stripling and Sharon Ann Worchester; uncle, Van Griffith; and wonderful and loving cousins, too numerous to name.
