EDWARD GRAHAM TAVENDER

Edward “Ed” Graham Tavender was born on August 4, 1958 to Roy Duckworth Tavender and Ann Graham Tavender Sutherland. He was a graduate of Arlington Heights and Texas Tech University.

Ed spent most of his life on Eagle Mountain Lake where he tended to his gardens and grounds. He was known for his love of life and his selfless personality. He could become friends with anyone instantly.

After a hard-fought four-year battle with pancreatic cancer, Ed passed on April 7, 2026 surrounded by his dogs and his two best friends, Thomas Allen and Travis Lewis. Ed is predeceased by his father, Roy Tavender, his mother, Ann Southerland, his sister, Diann Tavender Stadler, his brother-in-law, Chris Stadler, and his nephew, Graham Stadler. He is survived by his nephew, Christian Stadler and his wife Lauren Phillips-Stadler.

A celebration of life will be held at his residence on May 30, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
