We are deeply saddened to share the tragic news that Keith Ryan Fenton passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the age of 60. Keith was surrounded by his loving family and friends at the time of his passing, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, courage, and enduring friendship.
Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Keith was the beloved son of Bob Fenton and the late Joyce (Shaindy) Fenton. He moved to Fort Worth, Texas as a young boy, where he built a life rich in connection and character. A proud graduate of Arlington Heights High School and Texas Tech University, Keith approached life with passion and determination despite living with Von Hippel Lindau disease (VHL), a condition he bravely battled for over 40 years.
Keith lived fully and joyfully, even through physical challenges. A true sports enthusiast, he held the rare distinction of cheering for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles — a testament to his unique spirit and love for the game. He had an insatiable appetite for all kinds of food, especially desserts like Black Forest cake and fruit pies, though he remained careful about his diet, always mindful of preserving his health.
He was passionate about horse racing and an astute handicapper, a skill he enjoyed honing. Fantasy football and baseball were among his favorite pastimes, and he had a particular fondness for playing the stock market. These hobbies were not just interests — they were ways Keith connected with others, sparking conversations and building deep friendships. Keith’s love for animals was a true testament to his tender heart. His cats and family pets brought him endless joy and comfort.
Keith's friendships spanned decades. To know him was to love him — a phrase echoed by countless friends, many of whom had known and cherished him for more than 40 years. His ability to maintain and grow these connections was a true reflection of his heart and generosity of spirit.
Keith is survived by his father, Bob; his step-mother, Phyllis; his sister Jilian; and his long-time friend, special companion and unwavering advocate, Melody Wise. He also leaves behind a close extended family, especially his cousins who were also chosen friends and a wide circle of exceptional friends whose lives were touched by his presence.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 11, 2025, at Greenwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Keith's memory to The VHL Family Alliance or to Donate Life Texas, honoring the kidney donation he gratefully received at the age of 22.
May G-d bring comfort and healing in time to the family of Keith Fenton and to all who knew and will eternally love him.
