GARY RONALD SADOW

November 10, 1945 — May 7, 2026

Mill Valley, Callifornia

Gary Ronald Sadow, born November 10, 1945, in Freehold, New Jersey, passed away on May 7, 2026. His life was defined by unwavering love for his friends and family. Gary was the devoted husband of Meryl “Merri” Sadow – the center of his world – whom he adored deeply until her passing in 2011. In recent days, he spoke of looking forward to being reunited with her—an enduring reflection of the bond they shared and how completely she had his heart. He spent most of his life in Texas, where he and Merri put down roots, raised their family, and cultivated a circle of friends so close they became indistinguishable from family.

He will be laid to rest in the Beth-El Section of Greenwood Memorial Park at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, with Rabbi Ralph Mecklenburger of Fort Worth officiating. Following the burial, his family welcomes all to gather for a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Beth-El Congregation, 4900 Briarhaven Road, followed by a reception. In his memory, contributions may be made to a charitable organization of your choice.

He is survived by his adoring sons, Darin (Stephanie) and Todd (Karen); his beloved grandchildren, Ashton, Cameron, Mason, and Zoe; his sister-in-law, Ronni Bohm (Peter), Merri’s identical twin sister; his brother, Bruce Sadow (Peggy), and their families; and cherished friends.

Gary was a computer engineer by profession. He played a role in developing advanced aircraft radar and defense systems and was among the early pioneers contributing to the development of modern radiology technologies.

To his friends, he was a source of strategy and perspective; to his family, he was a steady and unwavering presence. Nowhere was this more evident than during his wife’s six-year battle with cancer. Gary stood beside her every step of the way, pursuing every possible avenue for care while supporting her with tireless devotion. Through that, he showed his sons what unconditional love truly looked like.

He will be remembered for his even-keeled nature, his ability to distill complexity into clarity, and his quiet confidence in navigating whatever life presented.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
