Fort Worth

Gordon was born on November 19, 1941 in San Diego, California. He had one older brother, Donald Bowen, born in 1939. His father was Frederick Bowen, formerly of Wales, England. His mother was Dorothy (Watson) Bowen from Brooklyn, New York.

Gordon graduated from Paschal High School in 1959 and went on to attend Texas Christian University. He graduated from TCU in 1963 with Bachelors Degrees in both Physics and Mathematics. Next, he attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 1964 with a Masters of the Physical Sciences.

While attending the University of Pittsburgh, he met the love of his life, Patricia Anne Bilbray. They were married in January, 1965. The newlyweds moved to Anaheim, California, where they gave birth to their only child, Gordon Frederich Bowen in September 1965. Gordon and Patty were married for 18 happy years but the least few years were plagued by Patty's health struggles. She left this world in August, 1983, leaving a distraught husband and son behind.

Gordon went on to marry Dominga Rodriguez shortly after Patty lost her battle with her poor health. Dominga died unexpectedly in 2003, after 19 years of marriage to Gordon.

Gordon began his career in the Aerospace Industry in 1966 at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas. When Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company acquired General Dynamics, he stayed on with Lockheed Martin. During the years he held many different positions in his career and received the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company Presidents Award. When Gordon retired in 2005, he was the Vice President of Strategic Projects.

After Gordon retired, he met Rachel Lopez and spent 18 years with her, traveling, gambling and enjoying each others company. Gordon and Rachel remained together happily until his death. Gordon was an avid golfer and spent numerous hours at the Ridglea Country Club, playing golf with his "golf buddies". One of this greatest regrets at the end of his life was his inability to play golf with his friends.

Gordon is survived by his son "little" Gordon (Lee Ann), granddaughters Alexandria and Andrea and his great-granddaughter Isabella.
