JUDSON DEAN MUCKLEROY

November 20, 2011 — November 22, 2023

Fort Worth

Judson Dean Muckleroy, a beloved son, grandson and friend, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 22, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at 4 pm Friday, December 15, in the Sanctuary of University Christian Church. 2720 S. University Drive. He will be laid to rest privately with his father and sister in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Judson was born on November 20, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas and was a 6th grader at McClean Middle School. Judson loved playing sports with friends including football, baseball and had most recently developed a love for soccer.  He also loved math, was an avid reader and was a pro at sports trivia, especially football.

Like his dad, he shared a complete devotion to TCU and anything Horned Frog related, at times to the consternation of his Longhorn mom. Like most 12 year-olds, he also loved playing video games with his friends and his cousins. Judson loved both of his dogs dearly and the highlight of his day was going to bed each night with Birdie Jean by his side. They were each other’s best friend. He attended Camp Longhorn for the last 4 years and had most recently received the great honor of Campfire Lighter on the last night of camp this past summer. He loved spending time there with his cousins and camp friends and his favorite activities included swimming in the lazy river and the blob. He found so much joy in spending time at Lake Possum Kingdom fishing, tubing and wake surfing. He could eat his weight in butter noodles, fried rice and popcorn on any given day. He loved skiing in Crested Butte with his friends and family.

Judson had empathy beyond his years and was a kind and good friend to everyone. His smile could win anyone over in an instant and his mom could never stay mad at him when he flashed it at her. It was like his father’s smile--so big sometimes that he couldn’t keep his eyes open. Above all, Judson had a kind heart. He loved making people laugh, goofing off and having fun with his friends.

He is survived by her mother, Lauren Muckleroy; grandparents, Pat and Harold Muckleroy and  David and Debbie Johnson; great-grandmothers, Ellen Saunders, Sue Muckleroy and Virginia Conrad,; Aunt, Alyson Gasper and Uncle Steve Gasper; Aunt Christina Westfall and Uncle Jay Ellwanger; Aunt Melanie Dow and Uncle Jim Dow; Uncle Stephen Westfall and Aunt Lindsey Westfall; Uncle David Muckleroy and Aunt Madison Muckleroy; Uncle Jon David Johnson and Aunt Heather Johnson; Uncle Jeff Johnson; and 15 cousins.
