JULIA BRAZIL

FORT WORTH -- Julia Jean Davis Brazil passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Nov. 15, 2012, during her 79th year. Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Roy, in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: Family and friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to a charity of one's choice, in her memory, is suggested. Born in Alva, Okla., on Aug. 7, 1933, Julie was the daughter of Glenn and Mary Huff Earley. She worked as an oil and energy loan officer with BankOne Fort Worth and was a former member and president of Desk & Derrick, an oil and gas social organization. Julie enjoyed quilt making and crafting with Roy. She was also a quite gifted pianist and sang in several church choirs. During the 1960s, she served on campaign committees for Lyndon B. Johnson. In the 1970s she was active with the Miss Texas Pageant. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors: In addition to her daughter, Teri Brazil Edwards and her husband, John, Julie is survived by her grandsons, Brian and Phillip.
