September 23, 1951 — January 9, 2020

Kathleen Marie Boyd, 68, passed away on January 9, 2020. A celebration of the life of Kathy will be held at Fellowship of the Parks in Keller on February 29th at 10:00 am. Kathy was never one to want the focus on her but was always interested in serving and helping others from behind the scene. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to your favorite charity or participate in some activity of community service or maybe simply reaching out and helping someone else. Kathy was born in northern Indiana on September 23, 1951. She had lived in Butler, IN, Chicago, IL, Fort Worth, TX, and Clovis, CA before moving to Paradise, TX. She had walked the meadows and gardens of England, stood in amazement of the Golden Temple and the Taj Mahal of northern India, walked on Red Square in Moscow and along the canals of St. Petersburg, and stood on the Great Wall of China. But her favorites were the quiet walks along the Pacific Ocean at Morro Bay and snowshoeing the foothills above Shaver Lake in the Sierra Mountains of California. Kathy graduated from Huntington College, majoring in Sociology. She worked as an administrative assistant at United Way of Tarrant County and then for the School of Education at Fresno Pacific University. Kathy lived her Christian commitment by serving and encouraging those around her. She was always the friend in the background raising others up with a smile, kind word, or listening ear. Kathy leaves behind two sisters, a brother, as well as her husband of 47 years and an awesome son and daughter, not to mention two beautiful grand-daughters.
