Pat Godby Schwarz, much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to heaven on Tuesday, January 6, 2026
Family and friends will gather from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, January 13, in the Great Room at Harper & Lucas, formerly Robertson Mueller Harper. A Service at the Grave will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, January 13, in the Beth-El Section of Greenwood Memorial Park.
Pat was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Arlington Heights Elementary, Stripling Middle School, and Arlington Heights High School. She graduated from TCU in 1957.
She worked at Leonard's Department Stores in advertising and met her future husband, Herb Schwarz. Pat worked for Myers Department Stores for 25 years as the Advertising Manager, with her husband, who co-owned Myers with his partners, Nat Myers and Ed Schwarz.
Pat was a member of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth in the Art Department and Spectrum. She was also a member of the Jewel Charity Ball, as well as a member of the Mockingbird Garden Club. Her love was her Art, Art Workshops and Art Classes.
She is survived by her husband of 72 1/2 years, Herb L. Schwarz; children, Gerald Schwarz and Kay Schwarz Orth and her husband, Ron; grandchildren, Katherine Orth Seiken, Zachary Schwarz, Matthew Orth, Zane Schwarz and Zoe Schwarz; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Seiken, Harper Seiken, Miles Seiken, Max Seiken and Addison Orth; her brother, Dub Godby; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Dr. Edwin G. Schwarz Physicians Library at Cook Children's Medical Center.
