RICHARD DONOHUE

FORT WORTH -- Richard Dwayne Donohue departed this life Tuesday evening, March 19, 2013, after a courageous battle with disease. "Death ends a life, not a relationship." We will be remembering Rick in his home on March 30. Please call or e-mail his wife for details. Memorials: He asked that no flowers be bought. If you must, make a contribution in his name to the ASPCA or the Humane Society of North Texas. Born in Fort Worth on Dec. 9, 1961, Rick became a Christian at an early age and lived the majority of his life here. A plumber, handyman, and sometime electrician, he would help anyone who asked, sometimes to the detriment of his family time. An avid dog lover and hunting enthusiast, he volunteered with pet adoptions and spoiled his dogs like they were his kids. Rick couldn't wait for deer season to start. He was a rabid football fan, and golf nut, spending his Sundays doing one or the other, depending on the season. In his spare time, he liked to plink away on his guitar, constantly making up riffs and songs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ann Donohue and Ott and Joey Hackney. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Susan, Rick is survived by his stepsons, Anthony and Haley Fritz, Taylor White and Trevor White; grandsons; parents, John and Claudia Donohue; siblings, Cherie Donohue, Dawn and KJ Arrington and Shane and Linnea Donohue; nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.
