Shelley Pardue passed away on April 5, 2026 in Aledo, Texas, leaving behind family and friends who adored her and whose lives were brighter because she was in them.
Shelley’s vibrant personality and generous heart were evident from an early age and remained a defining part of who she was. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1990, and went on to attend Texas Christian University, where she pursued her undergraduate and graduate studies.
Shelley could walk into any room and leave it filled with laughter. Her sparkling green eyes and playful sense of humor were unforgettable, and she delighted in telling stories that somehow grew funnier and more elaborate each time she shared them.
At her core, Shelley was a nurturer, always quick to offer help, a listening ear, or a comforting presence. She found joy in life’s simple moments, from tending her garden to caring for her pets and creating a home filled with love.
Though her loss is immeasurable, Shelley’s legacy lives on in the love she showed, the laughter she shared, and most of all, in her children, who carry forward her spirit and her light.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Shelley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Doris and W.H. Ingram Jr., and Louise and Howell Mann, as well as her sister, Holly Mann.
She is survived by the great loves of her life, her children, Cole, Lauren, and Wyatt Pardue, who were the center of her world and the source of her deepest pride and joy. She is also survived by her parents, Darlene and Howell Mann; her sister and brother-in-law, Corry and Michael Smith; her cherished nieces, Wesley and Harper Smith, and a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Shelley’s life will be celebrated with a private family service 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 at Annetta United Methodist Church followed by a reception for friends and family at Ridglea Country Club from 3 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden or the Oceanic Society.
