TIMOTHY PATRICK HENNESSY

July 23, 1955 — April 16, 2024

Arlington

On Tuesday, April 16, Timothy Patrick Hennessy, loving husband, father, and brother passed away at age 69.

Family and friends will gather from 1 to 2 pm Friday, April 26, in the Chapel at Harper & Lucas with a Celebration of His Life beginning at 2 pm.  A Honor Guard will be provided by the North Richland Hills Police Department.

Tim was born July 23, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Edward Patrick and Patricia Elizabeth Randle Hennessy. He graduated from OD Wyatt High School before joining the U.S. Navy where he served for 20 years.

During Tim’s time in the service (1974-1994) he had the opportunity to travel abroad and excel in the field of anti-submarine warfare collecting many awards and accolades during that time. In 1981, Tim had his first daughter, Tatiana while stationed in Florida, eight years later he had his second daughter, Katherine.

Shortly after having his second daughter Tim relocated his family from Florida back to his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. His love affair with wearing a uniform and serving his community continued when he joined North Richland Hills P.D. in 1995, receiving valedictorian in the police academy. In the 25 years of his service to the P.D, Tim participated on the SWAT team, was a part of the bike unit, as well as Field Training Officer up to his retirement.

Tim deemed himself to be “rude, crude, and socially unacceptable.” But if you truly knew him, he was only socially unacceptable. Tim was a genuinely caring person who loved his family, whether they were blood or chosen.

Tim’s family includes his wife of 15 years, Roxann Hennessy; two children, daughter Tatiana Ho and daughter Katherine Hennessy; son-in-law Manson Ho; sisters Teresa Francis and Kathy Glass; and six grandchildren Eliana, Ethan, Tsofia, Aliza, Lia, and Aviella.

To honor Tim’s memory and charitable nature, the family asks in lieu of flowers any donations in his name may be directed to, Tarrant Area Food Bank (https://tafb.org/donate/) and/or SafeHaven of Tarrant County (https://www.safehaventc.org/give).
