Clarice Powell Eubank, 87, passed away on October 31, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Harper and Lucus Funeral Home in Fort Worth with Phil Hodson officiating. Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at Harper and Lucas.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Riverside Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Clarice Eubank was born on November 30, 1937, in Minden, Louisiana, to Verlon Powell and Carl Gray Powell. She grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, and graduated early at the age of 16 from Wichita Falls Senior High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music education from Midwestern University and her master’s of science in education at Abilene Christian College. She received a music scholarship and was recognized as an expert sight reader and accompanist. She taught music and elementary education in the Fort Worth Independent School District and resided in Bedford, Texas since 1964.
She married Dr. Glenn Ray Eubank in March of 1961 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They had been married 64 years at the time of her passing.
Clarice was an accomplished musician and loved to sing with many choirs in the area including Tarrant County Junior College Chorus, Southwestern Seminary Oratorio Chorus and the Midwestern Chorus. She sang for numerous weddings in the area. She also served as the General Manager of the Eubank Animal Hospital in Hurst, Texas for 17 years. She was an active member of the Fort Worth Woman’s Club, the ’93 Club, as well as the Federation of Women’s Clubs. She held several leadership roles in those organizations including President, Director, 1st Vice President, Recording Secretary, Historian and Parliamentarian.
Clarice is preceded in death by her parents and grandchild, Joshua Biringanine.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Glenn Ray Eubank; daughters, Sherla Khalil and her husband Khaled Khalil, and Kathryn Tvenge and her husband, Wyeth Tvenge; sons, Nelson Eubank and his wife, Penny Eubank, and Mason Eubank and his wife, Johanne Tremblay; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and brother, Milton Powell and his wife, Lonna Powell; nephews, Jordan Powell and his wife, Kimberlee, and Logan Powell and his wife, Cari, and their families.
