Wanda Garland Ordile, 101, of Fort Worth, passed away on October 1, 2026.
Wanda was born March 4, 1925, in Weatherford, Texas, to Robert DeWitt Garland and Macy Jewell Wright Garland. She was married for 56 years to Dr. Joseph Robert Ordile, and they were blessed with a loving daughter, Margaret Ordile Beckham.
For over 60 years Wanda was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth, where she served as a faithful Sunday School teacher. She was active in the community and served in several roles with The Woman's Club of Fort Worth and Women of Rotary. She owned and operated an antique business and conducted many local estate sales.
Wanda could do almost anything with her hands. She arranged flowers, sewed beautiful clothing, did fine handwork, and loved her garden. She was also a wonderful gift giver and wrote thoughtful handwritten notes. But her greatest talent was her servant's heart and the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her daughter, Margaret; her parents; and her siblings, Wilda Garland Sommer, Robert DeWitt "Buddy" Garland, Jr., and Barbara Garland Davis.
Wanda is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of The Vantage at Cityview and Champion Hospice for their loving care of our beloved aunt.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at City Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas.
